Kforce Associates Raise More Than $86,000 in San Diego Marathon

In an effort to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Kforce associates in the West region joined the Team in Training (TNT) organization to prepare for San Diego’s Rock n’ Roll marathon. After months of training, 32 Kforce associates participated in the 13.1 and 26.2 mile marathons in June 2011.
Not only did all associates finish the race, but Kforce raised $86,797 for Leukemia and Lymphoma, making them the third largest corporate fundraising team at the event. Additionally, Michael Clegg, Kforce Managing Director, was the ninth highest fundraiser for the TNT group, bringing in $11,405 for the cause.
Organizer Mary Jo Ferris, Kforce Strategic Accounts Executive, said the group effort to raise funds for this cause highlights the value of Kforce’s Stewardship & Community.
“Organizing and being a part of the event was one of the most rewarding experiences that I have had at Kforce,” said Ferris. “Being able to give back is so important when you are fortunate enough to be able to do so.”
